The battle against Moro intensifies with the fate of the universe hanging in the balance in the latest volume of Dragon Ball Super.
The tenth volume of the Dragon Ball Super manga has been released in English, continuing the adventures of Goku and Vegeta beyond the events of the anime. And as the two Saiyan heroes find themselves drafted into the Galactic Patrol and whisked across the cosmos for a mission of universal importance, they face a new foe unlike any they have ever encountered before and far deadlier in his combat techniques: Moro, the magical villain sealed away by a previous Supreme Kai for centuries until his recent escape.
Picking up directly after the cliffhanger ending of the previous volume, Goku and Vegeta face Moro on the faraway planet of New Namek, created as a new home for the Namekians after the destruction of the original Namek by Frieza during Dragon Ball Z. With Vegeta taking point, the Saiyans learn that Moro can add to his strength and vitality by directly consuming the life energy of planets and turn worlds into magical weapons against his opponents as he and his loyal minion Cranberry scour Namek for its Dragon Balls to regain the power he lost while imprisoned for millennia.
While Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta makes an impressive stand against Moro, even catching him off-guard a few times, the Saiyan Prince makes a shocking discovery over the course of their fight: Moro doesn't just feed off the energy of the planet, but his opponents as well. As the fight intensifies, Goku and Vegeta find themselves unable to even transform into Super Saiyans, with Moro quickly gaining the upper hand and beating both Saiyans within an inch of their lives. The two are taken to safety, leaving Moro to continue his hunt for the Dragon Balls, killing scores of Namekians as he gathers all seven.
After Goku and Vegeta are healed by the Namekians, they prepare for a rematch that neither Saiyan seriously expects to win. Just as the battle picks up again, Majin Buu makes a surprise appearance, having been taken from Earth to Namek by the Galactic Patrolman Jaco. Possessing the powers of the Supreme Kai he absorbed before his own imprisonment and redemption, Buu is surprisingly effective in battle against the new villain, with his abilities allowing him to outmatch Moro and immediately recover from any attack his opponent can dish out. However, before Buu can use his Kai-fueled abilities to seal away Moro in a new prison with the help of the angelic Galactic Patrolman Merus, Cranberry successfully uses the Namekian Dragon Balls to restore his dark master to full strength, allowing Moro to escape and use the Dragon Balls for a mysterious final wish before leaving for an unknown location.
With Moro now at his peak of power, even Majin Buu may be unable to get the better of his old nemesis, one that already far outclasses both Goku and Vegeta at their strongest. While the villain's final wish from the Dragon Balls currently remains a mystery and his whereabouts unknown, the villain is sure to face off against the Z Fighters again on a battlefield of his choosing. Goku and Vegeta will have to work hard to close the immense power gap between themselves and Moro and learn a new way to fight someone that can drain them of their energy just by being near him. Meanwhile, Moro certainly won't let Majin Buu and the Galactic Patrol get the better of him again.
