Black Clover is based on a popular manga of the same name written by Yūki Tabata. It centers on an orphan named Asta who -- though surrounded by others who are able to manifest magical powers -- is unable to wield magic, but tries through physical training, driven by his dream of becoming the Wizard King.
K-pop artists are no strangers to making opening and ending themes for anime. K-pop artists have made songs featured in anime since at least 2002, when BoA's "Masayume Chasing" was used for the fourth InuYasha ending. The first instance of a K-pop artist making an anime opening, however, was in 2009 when TVXQ's "We Are" was used for One Piece's 10th opening.
